Master degree in "Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology" at the University of Padova in 1984
Specialized in "Cosmetic Science and Technology" at the University of Ferrara in 1986
Assistant professor at the School of Pharmacy - University of Padova - Department of Pharmaecutical Sciences, since 1989.
Aggregate professor of Chemistry of cosmetic products, since 2006.
Teacher at the School of Dermatology and Venereology - Faculty of Medicine, University of Padova, since 2004.
Delegate of DSF for in the international prostgraduate program European fragrance and cosmetic master (EFCM) organized by the University of Padova, the Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, l’ Institut Supérieur International de la Parfumerie, de la Cosmétique et de l’Aromatique Alimentaire (ISIPCA, France) since 2000.

Improving cosmetic performance in terms of sensorial and functional properties

- Research and development of topical systems for cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications
- Rheological studies of new cosmetic ingredients (i.e. surfactants, emulsifiers, polymers , silicone derivatives)
- Rheological characterization of finished products for the evaluation of flow properties, film forming properties, structural characteristics , temperature dependence and stability
- Stability, usability and efficacy testing
- Preparation and characterization of delivery systems (solid lipid micro and nanoparticles, nanoemulsions, nanogel, liposomes…) for topical application
Member of the Directive Council of Italian society of reology (SIR) as scientific expert for pharmaceutical and cosmetic fields.
Honorary member of Italian Society of Cosmetic Chemistry (SICC)
